Tom Nolan
Tom Nolan specializes in contested communications serving as an advisor to commercial businesses and elected officials, as well as city and county jurisdictions. Tom has completed projects that include public input of traffic realignment, funding of road projects, how to pay for a $1 billion septic tank removal and central sewer system hook-up, traffic calming. Additionally, he has overseen customer satisfaction research for solid waste disposal, water, and environmental services.
Starting in 1990, Tom has handled message development and delivery in over 133 campaigns with a win rate of 86%. His clients have included Congressman Dan Miller, Frank Brogan for Florida State Education Commissioner, Mayor John Delaney of Jacksonville, Mayor Wayne Poston of Bradenton, former State Senator John McKay, former State Representative Mark Ogles, former Speaker of the Florida House John Thrasher, plus other State Senate and House members, as well as numerous County Commission, City Council and Judicial candidates.
Tom has been the lead consultant in successful tax referendums that have raised over $10 billion for schools, community infrastructure and children services.
He is a military veteran, serving in the U. S. Coast Guard. He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a BA in History.

Meredith Torkelson
Meredith Torkelson began her career in 1974 with Brandenburg Advertising, Inc., a full service agency in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After attending Tulsa Jr. College and the University of Oklahoma, she became Promotions Director for the State Office of Special Olympics of Oklahoma where she developed statewide fund raising, as well as promotions. At the time, Special Olympics of Oklahoma was the second largest Special Olympics organization behind California.
Meredith moved to Sarasota in 1984. In 1986, she joined Tom Nolan in forming The Nolan Group, Inc., where she is Vice President of Production. She served four years on the Suncoast Ad Federation Board of Directors. During that time she was Secretary for one year and Treasurer for two years. Meredith was a 1997 nominee for Advertising Woman of the Year. She sits on the Twelfth Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee.

Frances Cardinale
Frances’ entire career has been in advertising. She has extensive industrial account experience in print, national and international advertising and direct mail for a large and diversified group of clients in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas and Florida.
Her varied experience also includes writing, producing, directing and supervising and editing of television programs.

Andrea Torkelson
Andrea was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and moved to Bradenton with her family in 1984. Andrea attended Valencia Community College and Hillsborough Community College, and is currently finishing her bachelor’s degree in Business Management at the University of Phoenix in Clearwater.
Andrea performs client service and research duties, as well as being the database manager, and works on the GIS mapping system, ArcView.
She joined the US Army Reserve in 2000, and served as a Pharmacy Technician for the US Army 73rd Field Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Daniel Greene
Daniel was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1958. He moved to Florida in 1975 with his family. Daniel graduated from Manatee High School in 1977, and The Ringling School of Art & Design in 1983 where he studied in the Graphic Design program. He joined The Nolan Group in 1997, where he is graphic artist.
Daniel has extensive experience in community theater, most notably Venice Little Theatre. Having been in over 30 productions as technician, actor and director, he also has numerous state, regional and national awards for excellence in acting.

Kathryn Alder
Kathryn handles accounting and budget reconciliation for The Nolan Group. She has lived in Bradenton, Florida, since 1974, and graduated from Eckerd College in 1986. Kathryn has taught school in Manatee County and worked in franchising, marketing and accounting. She served the Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida, Inc. at troop, county and council levels for 13 years.
